PAL Course in Delta
CFSC, CRFSC and CORE at Silvercore's own training facility on Vantage WayDelta is Silvercore's home. Our training facility is at #115-7198 Vantage Way. I have taught the Canadian Firearms Safety Course since 1994. Silvercore has operated since 2000, was incorporated in 2003, and is Canada's largest firearms safety training company. We also deliver firearms training for armoured car companies. Every course in Delta is taught by Silvercore instructors, in our own classroom, with training firearms we own and maintain. The team that builds the curriculum teaches the class.
Courses in Delta
Combined CFSC and CRFSC. This is the course most people take. It covers non-restricted and restricted in one booking, with both exams included, over two days or three evenings. Booking them together saves $55.
CFSC only. This is the non-restricted course for rifles and shotguns.
CRFSC only. This is for people who already hold a non-restricted PAL and want restricted privileges. It is one day, with the exam included.
CORE Hunter Education. This is BC's hunter education program for residents applying for a hunting licence. The course runs two full days, and we also hold CORE exam challenges here.
What the course is like
The CFSC and CRFSC are classroom courses, with no shooting in either one. You handle every action type you will be tested on, using real deactivated firearms. You load, unload and prove each one safe until it becomes routine. The written and practical tests come at the end. Neither course has a challenge option, so everyone takes the full course in person.
Class size
We cap PAL classes in Delta at 12 students and CORE classes at 15. Class size decides how many times your hands are on each firearm before you are tested. Ask any course provider how many people will be in the room, and expect a number.
Getting here
We are 10 minutes from downtown Ladner, 20 from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal, 20 from Richmond Centre through the George Massey Tunnel, 20 from Surrey over the Alex Fraser Bridge, and 30 from downtown Vancouver. Parking is in front of the building, behind it, and on the street.
Coming from Vancouver Island
We teach on the Island in Nanaimo, Parksville and the Comox Valley. Island dates are fewer and fill quickly, so many Island students come across to Delta instead. A morning sailing gets you to class, and the facility is 20 minutes from the Tsawwassen terminal.

Silvercore Outdoors Delta
The Delta facility is Silvercore's home. Every CFSC, CRFSC, and CORE course taught here is run by our own instructor cadre. You will not be passed off to a different organization or a contractor renting space. The same team that builds the curriculum teaches the class.
